Meet your acupuncturist, Dr. Lo!

Dr. Lo earned her doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, California. Her primary focus when treating patients is to equip them with knowledge about their bodies, helping them feel empowered to reclaim their body’s sovereignty. Her doctoral work focused on all things women’s health, ranging from menstruation cycle education to common conditions women face such as irregular cycles, PMS, endometriosis, and PCOS. She was particularly interested in evaluating how environmental factors are affecting hormonal health and wellness.

While at ACTCM, Dr. Lo interned in the student clinic treating a wide variety of conditions and garnering over 2,000 hrs of clinic experience. She worked several semesters at the Women’s Resource Center in San Francisco. It was then that she realized her passion for supporting women. Aiding them in their conception goals, providing support during pregnancy and then helping replenish postpartum.

When she’s not in the office Dr. Lo finds deep fulfillment in a variety of creative outlets such as macrame, knitting and ceramics. One of the reasons she was drawn to Chinese medicine in the first place was its ability to treat the mind, body and soul much like art. It is with this holistic perspective that she approaches each treatment. Utilizing acupuncture, herbs and nutrition she looks forward to working with you and supporting you wherever you are on your healing journey.
